Go Cats! I came to the Athens Area School District in 2014 as the AAHS Assistant Principal and in 2016 was fortunate enough to become the Principal. I served as the Principal of AAHS until 2022 and then transitioned to help serve the district in several needed roles. I serve as The Principal of Student Affairs at Harlan Rowe Middle School, Federal Programs/Title 1 Coordinator, District Safety and Security Coordinator, and AP/Dual Enrollment Coordinator. Prior to my time at Athens Area School District I taught math and science in the Northern Tioga School District. I also spent 14 years in law enforcement and in my last post, served as Chief of Police in Lawrenceville, PA. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Mansfield University, a Master’s in Education from Mansfield University, a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Edinboro University, and a Superintendent Letter of Eligibility from Edinboro University. I am a life-long learner and feel very fortunate to live and work in such a wonderful community. We have been able to implement many successful district and building initiatives thus far in my career here, such as 1:1 technology, collaborative learning, and an emphasis on student achievement and growth.
