I began my career in the Athens Area School District in 1990-91 as a Learning Support teacher where I spent 14 years. Following my tenure as a teacher I worked as the dean of students in 2004, eventually becoming the Assistant principal to Beth Schulze I continued in the role of Assistant Principal until 2014. In the Spring of 2014, I was hired as the High School principal. I served the district in this position until the Spring of 2016 when I became the Superintendent of the Northeast Bradford School District. I served the community there for 6 years before returning to the Athens area School District where I am currently the High School principal.
I currently live in the Athens Area School District where I have lived for the past 18 years with my Wife Shari. I have two children: Mrs. Taylor Swingle who is married to Garrett Swingle. We recently welcomed into the world our first grandchild Grayson Elliott Swingle. They currently reside in the Hershey area. Our son Garrett Clark also resides in the Hershey area.
Educational Background:
- Completed my undergraduate degree in Special Education at Misericordia University 1989.
- Complete my master’s degree in education as well as my certificate of advanced study in school administration at SUNY Brockport 2004.
- Received my superintendent’s letter of eligibility from Edinboro University in 2017.
