Mr. Patton was raised in Sheshequin, PA and is a product of the Athens Area School District.  He attended Sheshequin-Ulster Elementary, Harlan Rowe Middle, and Athens Area High Schools.  He earned an undergraduate degree in biology from Wilkes University and a master’s degree in education from Temple University.  Mr. Patton was a classroom teacher in the Athens Area High School science department for 23 years prior to becoming the assistant principal at Harlan Rowe Middle School.

Mr. Patton’s family has ties to the Athens Area School District as well.  His wife, Leslie, is an Athens alumnus with S.R.U roots.   Their two daughters are currently attending Athens Area High School and actively involved in soccer, dance, and cheer.   

Mr. Patton is a proud member of the Athens community and supporter of Athens students at all levels.   He can regularly be found on the sidelines, in the bleachers, or in the audience.  His goal is to foster a school environment where all students can grow academically and personally.
