About the Principal

Mrs. Stephanie Hillman

Stephanie Hillman
I am thrilled to serve as Principal of Lynch-Bustin Elementary School, joining this exceptional community with a deep-rooted passion for education. A proud Waverly native and graduate of Waverly School District, my  higher educational journey began with a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature from SUNY Brockport, followed by a Master's Degree in Adolescent Education from Elmira College and an upcoming graduation from Stonybrook University's School of Professional Development where I have earned a degree in School Building and District Leadership.

My path in education has been diverse and enriching. I've taught as a secondary English Teacher at Corning’s West, East and C-PP High Schools and contributed significantly to GST BOCES Virtual Learning Program. My roles as Student Council Advisor and Varsity Cheerleading coach at Corning-Painted Post High School have taught me the importance of community collaboration in fostering student success.

My commitment to elementary education was solidified during an internship with an elementary principal, where I discovered a profound fulfillment in working closely with teachers and students alike. I firmly believe in nurturing the potential of every child and value the partnership with parents and caregivers in shaping our students' educational journeys here at Lynch-Bustin Elementary.

Outside of work, my family keeps me grounded and inspired. My daughter participates in sports, Girl Scouts, and school drama productions. My son is just beginning his educational journey and seems to really enjoy soccer and cheering on his sister. Their experiences enrich my understanding of the challenges and joys of childhood and education.
I am deeply committed to leading Lynch-Bustin Elementary School. My dedication lies in creating a nurturing environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and personally. Together, we will build strong foundations for their future success.
