Hi! My name is Maryellen Rhodes and I am the principal at Lynch Bustin Elementary School. I am so excited to be working in my hometown and at a school where I once was a student! I am a lifelong resident of Athens minus the few years I stepped away to earn my degree and do some college coaching. I am a huge sports fan and also have the love for anything outdoors!

 

I have been an employee of the Athens Area School District for the last 13 years. I have spent ten of those years teaching English at Athens Area High School and spent two years as the Assistant Principal at Harlan Rowe Middle School. I am a 2003 graduate of Athens Area High School and I am a true Wildcat at heart.

 

I currently reside in Athens with my husband Joe, and our two children, Ava and Jackson.

 

I am excited to work with the faculty, staff, students, and families of Lynch Bustin and I am looking forward to another great year!
