FREE Meals for All CHILDREN 18 & under! Month of November Meal Pick-up Available Starting Monday November 2, 2020, Sign-up NOW for the Month!
The U.S. Secretary of Agriculture recently announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) will extend several flexibilities for school meals throughout the remainder of 2020 as well as into the 2021 school year. The USDA stated, “As our nation reopens and people return to work, it remains critical our children continue to receive safe, healthy, and nutritious food.” This means any child residing in our Athens Area School District community 18 & under is eligible for free breakfast and lunch meals. At this time the free meals for all children will be available until June of 2021.
For the month of November Meal pick-up will be available at SRU elementary school and Harlan Rowe Middle School every Monday 5:30-6:30pm. By filling out this form, you are signing up for a five-day prepared breakfast and lunch meal pick-up every Monday for the month until you request to stop these services. Any questions please contact our Food Service Director.
Please fill out a separate form for each child who needs breakfast and lunch meals and is NOT an in-person student receiving meals on instructional days.
The meal pick-up for November 30th will be extended to Tuesday, December 1, 2020 due to the Thanksgiving holiday weekend with no school Monday.
