Seeking Dedicated Leaders to shape the Future of Athens Area schools
The Athens Area Education Foundation is seeking passionate individuals to join our Board of trustees. Established on October 16, 2025 our Foundation serves as a vital resource for school improvement initiatives, scholarships, and grants that directly impact our students and educators.
As a trustee you will have the opportunity to:
Influence strategic growth: provide fiscal stewardship and guide the long-term direction of the foundation.
Support Student Success: review teacher grants and scholarship applications that foster academic success.
Build Community Connections: leverage local resources to enhance the quality of public education in the Athens Area School District.

We are looking for people from all walks of life to help us grow. Grant applications are to be completed by teachers and staff members. Once submitted, all applications are carefully reviewed by the Foundation Board.
