Welcome to Fourth Grade!
We anticipate a great year with many new and exciting changes. Your kids will be preparing throughout the year for their first PSSA exams (Reading & Math). In reading we will start "Journeys"; our new literacy program. There will be whole group reading and guided reading practiced throughout the year. Math will continue with the Everyday Math program (know your basic addition, subtraction & multiplication facts). In science we will study about the Earth, space, weather, electricity, and plant/animals.
Keep up on the Book reports
Students are given opportunities throughout the day to work on reading and book reports, plus students should be reading 20 minutes each night (good opportunity to work toward completing the book reports at home).
ALL TESTS (reading, math, science) Need to be signed and returned!
Our goal is to have a lot of fun while learning!
