Comprehension Target Skills: sequence of events; author's purpose; text and graphic features; main idea and details; cause and effect

Phonics and Spelling:  suffixes -full, -y, -ous, -ly, -er; prefixes un-, pre-, re-, bi-; suffixes -less, -ness, -able; common final syllables -tion, -sion, -ture; double consonants

  • Fluency:  rate; accuracy; expression; intonation
  • Grammar:  abbreviations; adverbs; prepositions; writing quotations; commas in sentences
  • Vocabulary: suffixes -er, -est; analogies; suffix -ion; homographs and homophones

Writing-- paragraphs with topic sentence and supporting detail sentences

Math-- finish Unit 10 Measurement and Data; Unit 11 Probability

Social Studies/Science--

  • Finish Physical Science unit on sound
