Lynch-Bustin PTG
The mission of PTG is to coordinate a strong organization of volunteers and to raise funds that can be used to enhance the learning experience of Lynch-Bustin students. The PTG provides assistance to classroom teachers, raises funds for educational materials, school programs, field trips and special events, and supports school and family social interaction.
We encourage all parents to attend a PTG meeting if you are available or to contact a member if you have any questions. We are here to help!

As our wonderful school year rolls in to the station and we get ready to embark off into summer I want to say thank you to all that have volunteered and donated time, money or supplies to our school. Each one of you help make PTG's efforts a reality. Without PTG our children would have NO field trips, fewer family fun nights and many other great events. PTG is also very proud to announce because of your support and generosity we are going to be making a LARGE donation to our school's technology fund! This means more technology in each one of your children's classrooms, all because of our little volunteer group! You are all awesome!
We would like to thank Kate Clare for volunteering as our new treasurer and thank Elsa Martin for her time and service. Amy Craig will also be stepping down as president next year, we will be replacing this position with 2-3, or more, co-presidents so come see how you can help!
Beautify Downtown Athens has finally become a reality! Please think about coming out on May 20th to pitch in and help continue the clean up efforts in the Athens Borough area due to the devastating effects of Tropical Storm Lee. There will be a 5K, sign ups starting at 6:30, race at 9, carwash 11-1 and then a work bee and replacing of the planters, flowers and trees downtown from 1-4. Race registration on our district website front page about half way down...print it out, fill it in and return to ProCare or the Lynch-Bustin main office. First 100 registrants get a goodie bag!!!
If you have not registered your child for Kindergarten, you can still do so by contacting the main office.
And lastly, our reusable grocery bags and backpacks with the logo 'If You Had Fun You Won' are available through the school for $3 each. They are available by sending in a note, stopping in the office or in the Litterbox in the highschool soon. Thank you again for your support, it is all for your kids! ~A
I want to thank all the parents that have been attending our meetings, it has been wonderful to see so many there and so many new faces! However, we could really use some more new faces, we really need all the help we can get to make any of our fundraisers, programs and events better for your children and our school! This is how we can accomplish so much, so please think about volunteering next year as a co-president or in any way possible, I promise it will be the most rewarding thing you do!!!!! The PTG will hold a monthly meeting on the first Monday of every month. The meetings are at 6:30 in the Lynch Library.
