A Message from our Superintendent
At its last board meeting, the board of education asked me to share a plan to restructure the Athens Area School District. Severe budget restraints and a need to better prepare our children for the 21st century are the reasons.
I am hosting an information night for all interested parents and citizens at which time I will present the plan and receive questions and comments.
Our meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 7:00 PM in the Athens High School auditorium.
I would love to see a good turnout of people as the more informed people are, the less rumors there will be! I hope!
