TALK a lot, and even write a lot. I think the best thing about ELA is there is no one right answer. In fact, one of my favorite lines is, "You can say whatever you want as long as you can back it up."

We don't even have to agree, we just have to be able to support our viewpoints with textual evidence and logical reasoning.
